Description:
This position requires a competent Nurse who practices independently in a clinical setting.
The Nurse demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.
Provides routine and complex care while working towards long-range goals.
Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage clinical emergencies.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates tasks to other care providers.
Meets expectations of applicable competencies.
Consistent with the relevant Scope and Standards of Practice, the Nurse provides care utilizing the nursing process.
This includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Utilizes appropriate protocols to administer medications and treatments.
Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
Identifies issues and resources as needed.
This role involves caring for a variety of patient types including general OR, neuro, spine, ortho, robotic, and vascular cases.
A Level III Trauma Center setting is integral to this nursing position.
The position is expected to involve a permanent opportunity with incentives for weekend night shifts for full-time associates.
