    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in an outpatient oncology setting
    • Assess patient and family readiness to learn, developmental level, and factors affecting education; utilize appropriate patient education materials for the oncology population
    • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
    • Assess and anticipate discharge needs; consult appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues or high-risk discharge planning needs
    • Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe and secure environment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required
    • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certification required
    • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
    • Oncology nursing experience required
    • Outpatient (OP) nursing experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
    • Experience working within interdisciplinary care teams in a complex patient care environment
