    Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Rotating holidays

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed inpatient oncology unit, managing acute oncology symptoms including thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, and end-of-life care
    • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, occasionally 1:6, with support from nurse aides
    • Monitor patients via central telemetry system; reading strips is not required
    • Receive and complete care for outpatient oncology patients transferred to the floor when the outpatient area closes
    • Collaborate with charge nurse and nurse aide team; occasional float to medical acute unit may be required
    • Administer chemotherapy if qualified (ONS certification and minimum 2 years of oncology experience required for chemo administration)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment completed
    • Current BLS certification
    • Proficiency with Meditech EMR
    • Must reside within 75 miles of the facility (per driver's license address) — must be confirmed at time of submission
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIHSS certification preferred
    • ONS certification preferred; required for chemotherapy administration (minimum 2 years of oncology experience required for chemo-certified travelers)
    • Experience with hematology and end-of-life care patient populations
