    Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every other weekend required | Holidays rotate with staff

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed inpatient oncology unit, managing acute oncology symptoms and conditions including thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, and end-of-life care
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5, with occasional 1:6 assignments, supported by nurse aides
    • Monitor patients via central telemetry system; reading strips is not required
    • Receive and complete care for outpatient oncology patients transferred to the floor when the outpatient area closes
    • Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR
    • Float to medical acute unit on a rare basis as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
    • Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
    • Current BLS certification
    • Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility (based on driver's license address); must provide this information at time of submission
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIHSS certification preferred
    • ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) chemotherapy certification preferred; candidates wishing to administer chemotherapy must have a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience
    • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
