Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Infusion unit. The ideal candidate will possess extensive oncology infusion experience, showcasing their ability to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and complex GI regimens to patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Monitor patients for any reactions during infusion procedures and provide necessary interventions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all aspects of care provided.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expectations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting.
  • Experience as a traveling nurse is required (minimum of 1 year).
  • Strong intravenous (IV) and assessment skills.
  • ONS certification is required.
  • Must possess BLS certification.

Shift Information

This position requires a 36-hour work week with shifts available from 7 AM to 7 PM, or 8 AM to 8 PM, on an every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.

Unit Description

The Infusion unit encompasses a sixty-bed/chair facility dedicated to providing comprehensive care in the Division of Hematology-Oncology.
