TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12 hours Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty with 1 travel assignment License: License required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS preferred, ONS if involved in chemotherapy Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty, no first-time travelers Description: Travelers will work on the Medical Surgical Oncology unit. The unit has 29 beds. Patient ratios are typically 1:5, occasionally 1:6. Charge nurses will operate outside the staffing grid, unless unusual circumstances arise. Nurse aides are generally available 3 per day. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. Holidays will rotate with staff. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue. Central monitoring is available, although reading strips is not required. Floating to medical acute is rare. The unit cares for patients with acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology issues, medical overflow, oncology patients, and end-of-life care. Outpatient area patients will come to the floor to finish treatment if running late and the outpatient area is closed.
