Description:
This position is for a travel RN in Medical Oncology.
The role involves providing care to patients receiving inpatient chemotherapy.
The nursing staff is required to have ONS chemotherapy training.
The unit has 33 beds and a patient ratio of 1:6.
Unit secretaries and CNAs are available to support nursing staff.
Charge RNs are present each shift, along with a Clinical Manager and Director.
Documentation is performed using an electronic system.
Nursing staff must conduct hourly patient rounds during the day shift and rounds every two hours after 9 PM.
Dress code includes pewter scrubs and white combinations.
The unit has received recognition as a Unit of Distinction in Medical Surgical Nursing.
This facility frequently pilots new technology and supplies, enhancing the working environment.
