Key Responsibilities
- Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit
- Performs RN functions including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
- Provides age-appropriate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
- Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills with a commitment to improving patient care quality
- Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel across departments
- Adheres to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of one year of acute care experience as a registered nurse
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
- Effective written and oral communication skills; computer proficiency required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across multiple OB care settings including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum
- Familiarity with post-operative gynecology patient care
- Experience successfully completing general nursing and unit-specific orientation programs
