    OB RN (Labor, Delivery, Post Partum) - Nights

    Location

    Machias, ME | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit
    • Performs RN functions including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
    • Provides age-appropriate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
    • Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills with a commitment to improving patient care quality
    • Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel across departments
    • Adheres to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
    • Minimum of one year of acute care experience as a registered nurse
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
    • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
    • Effective written and oral communication skills; computer proficiency required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience across multiple OB care settings including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum
    • Familiarity with post-operative gynecology patient care
    • Experience successfully completing general nursing and unit-specific orientation programs
