Job Title: Obstetrics Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: Guaranteed hours to be determined Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE Must-Have: Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate Description: Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen in the obstetrics unit. Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills. Commits to improving the quality of patient care. Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills. Performs the functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice. Implements and evaluates age-appropriate care for all patients in the department, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecological patients. Manages supplies and equipment. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other hospital departments. Adheres to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Graduates of an accredited School of Nursing are encouraged to apply. Effective communication skills, both written and oral, are essential. Computer skills are required.
