Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week | 8-week assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Obstetrics unit during scheduled night shifts
- Perform delivery room duties, including receiving and caring for newborns
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart monitoring as part of routine OB care
- Float to MedSurg when OB census is low and provide care to medical-surgical patients as needed
- Adhere to holiday coverage schedule as required
- Document patient care using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
- Previous delivery room experience, including receiving babies, required
- Previous MedSurg experience required due to float responsibilities
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
- Experience working in a cross-trained or float capacity between OB and MedSurg
