Key Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of NICU RN experience required.
  • Travel Experience:Required (Must have prior travel experience).
  • Certifications: AHA BLS & NRP required.
  • EMR: Epic proficiency strictly required (no exceptions).

Clinical Skills & Scope

  • Patient Population: Neonates (caring for micro-preemies <24–28 weeks up to term/convalescing infants).
  • Respiratory Care: Ventilators (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/PEEP), High Frequency Oscillators, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, Chest Tubes, Trach Care.
  • Lines & Meds: UAC/UVC placement & management, Arterial lines, Central lines, IV therapy, Blood administration, Emergency/Anti-Seizure meds.
  • GI & Surgical Care: Gavage/g-tube feedings, NEC management, Gastroschisis/Omphalocele, post-abdominal & cardiac surgery care.
  • Specialized Care: Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), Thermoregulation, Phototherapy, Seizure management, Developmental Care.
