Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
  • Level III NICU experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Current BLS and NRP Advanced certifications required
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care environment
  • Provide 2 professional references covering 1 year of recent experience
  • Willingness to float to PRN Pediatrics, PICU, and Pediatric ED as needed
  • Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays during the contract period

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to neonates in a Level IV NICU
  • Monitor and manage critically ill infants with conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, and HIE
  • Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and advanced respiratory support as indicated
  • Perform and assist with specialized neonatal procedures, including line care, chest tube management, ventilator support, and thermoregulation
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, evidence-based patient care
  • Document accurately in Epic EMR and maintain strong attention to detail in charting and care coordination
  • Educate and support families while promoting developmental and family-centered neonatal care
  • Maintain flexibility to float between related pediatric units when needed
