NIGHT-SHIFT LEVEL III NICU RN CONTRACT – PROVIDENCE SANTA ROSA MEMORIAL

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Santa Rosa, California (Sonoma County / Wine Country). Operating within a 12-bed Level III NICU at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital (a 277-bed acute care hospital), this position offers a structured 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). First-time travelers are welcome to apply! PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,175.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,125.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $25.00/hr (24 regular hours)
  • Daily Overtime Rate: $37.50/hr (12 daily OT hours included under California OT guidelines)

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Self-scheduling model. Block scheduling is not offered.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular/OT hours weekly (facility call-off policy allows 1 shift per 2-week pay period).
  • Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend rotation.
  • On-Call Requirements: Standby call rate is $15.00/hr ($91.20/hr call-back rate at 1.3x).
  • Unit Scope & Acuity: 12-bed Level III unit with an average daily census of 3–6 neonates. Manages neonates 27 weeks gestation and above (all gestational ages at delivery for stabilization and transfer if under 27 weeks).
  • Critical Hard-Stop Duties: RN must independently attend high-risk/preterm deliveries, execute emergency neonatal resuscitations in the OR/L&D suites, and manage neonatal admissions.
  • Clinical Skills & Procedures: Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), UAC/UVC line care, arterial lines, chest tubes, surfactant administration, phototherapy, sepsis workups, and gavage feedings.
  • EMR & Scrubs: Epic EMR; scrub colors are Royal Blue, Navy Blue, or pediatric-friendly tops with royal/navy bottoms; free on-site parking.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of clinical Level III NICU experience is required (strong candidates with less than 3 years will be screened for review). First-time travelers accepted! (No travel pairs).
  • Licensure: Active California RN License strictly required in hand at submittal (facility does not accept pending licenses).
  • Certifications Required: * Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Radius Rule: Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel contracts.
  • Rehire Policy: Former Providence employees are eligible to return after a 3-month separation.

Location Details: Assignment is located at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, 1165 Montgomery Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95405. ⏱️ Assignment Timeline: 13-week contract running from October 05, 2026, through January 04, 2027. Clinical Hard Stop: Candidate must be experienced and confident attending high-risk deliveries and performing neonatal resuscitation in the OR and L&D suites. Submittal Rules & Compliance: Active CA single-state RN license must be verified in hand at profile upload. All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted upfront (Aya auto-approves <7 days). Must commit to working 3 of 5 major winter holidays if scheduled. Facility policy strictly excludes candidates with background or Nursys hits. Travel pairs are not accepted for this requisition.
