    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Alexandria, Virginia, 22304!

    Job Title

    RN – CV Neuro ICU

    Location

    Alexandria, VA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed CV Neuro ICU at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Manage and titrate vasoactive drips including Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Phenylephrine, Dopamine, and Vasopressin
    • Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Philips telemetry equipment (no monitor techs on unit)
    • Care for patients with complex neurological and critical care diagnoses including stroke, ICH, SAH, ARDS, septic shock, and acute respiratory failure
    • Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including mechanical ventilators, HFNC, BiPAP, and CPAP
    • Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, including one major and one minor holiday per year
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in Virginia
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
    • Must pass ECG/rhythm strip competency exam on day 2 of assignment (pass/fail)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a Neuro ICU or cardiovascular ICU setting
    • Familiarity with titratable vasoactive and vasopressor drip management
    • Experience with mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support modalities
    • Comfort working in a high-acuity environment with complex neurological and multi-system diagnoses
