Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $3,390 per week in Madison, WI

This position offers the chance to work with a remarkable team of critical care nurses in a specialized Neuroscience ICU, utilizing advanced skills and cutting-edge technology to care for the region's most critically ill neurological patients. Specialized patient population including stroke patients (ischemic, post-thrombectomy, SAH), traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgery patients.

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience ICU – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. Flexible scheduling options available including 4x12 or Friday-Sunday block schedules.

• Epic EMR system with robust interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Specialized patient population including stroke patients (ischemic, post-thrombectomy, SAH), traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgery patients
• Advanced critical care skills utilized including ICP monitoring, external ventricular drains (EVD), lumbar drains, hemodynamic monitoring, and hypothermia protocols
• Collaborative team environment with supportive leadership and nationally certified physicians

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Wisconsin or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care ICU experience within the last 3 years
• ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drains required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Basic arrhythmia experience and ability to pass telemetry competency exam prior to start
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Willingness to float as needed and work with both ICU and IMC patient populations
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility
