TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: NC or Compact License pending okay for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Teamwork approach to patient care - Focus on patient safety Description: This is a neuro unit. RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Patient ratios are 1:6 for nights. 36 or 48 hours accepted. 13-20 weeks accepted. Travelers float first. 5-6 weekend shifts are required, equating to every other weekend. Contract staff may be assigned and expected to work in emergency situations or disasters. The daily census is around 24 patients. The unit consists of 24 beds. General medicine with a focus on neuro conditions will be encountered. Must have a teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. Adherence to the call-off policy is strongly enforced. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as described in the job description. Traveler experience is accepted; first-time travelers are welcomed. Must have experience with IV therapy and telemetry. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage isolation precautions is required. Experience/willingness to learn the charge nurse role is preferred. Preferred skills include neuro experience and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams.
