TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Compact or NC license pending acceptable for submittal Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Neuro experience preferred - First-time travelers accepted Description: The Med Surg Neuro RN will be required to work within a neuro unit setting. The shift is 12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15. A commitment to 36 or 48 hours per week is expected, with the possibility of longer contracts up to 26 weeks. Floating to other units may be required as needed. Weekend shifts of 12-16 are required per contract. Patient ratios are expected to be between 1:5-6. Contract staff will participate in the Storm Team or Hurricane Team if necessary, including reporting to work during emergencies. Orientation includes 2 shifts on the unit following facility orientation. The patient diagnoses will include neuro surgical procedures and various neuro diagnoses. Familiarity with specific systems such as Pyxis, SBAR, and Electronic Medical Records is essential. Candidates will need to pass EKG testing prior to employment. Candidates must be willing to comply with unit-specific protocols regarding pre-and post-neurosurgery care, telemetry, and IV management. Prior charge experience is preferred, and familiarity with charting systems is advantageous. All RTO must be pre-approved, and candidates cannot request additional RTO after signing. Candidates should be willing to float within or near the facility as described in the job posting. Travel pairs are allowed, provided they are on different units and disclosed.
