    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–20:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care within a Level III NICU-based float pool, with required floating to PICU, Pediatrics, Newborn Nursery, and Mother/Baby units (Mother/Baby assignments will not include caring for mothers)
    • Manage IV therapy and medications including A-line management, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, UAC/UVC, IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
    • Perform cardiac and respiratory monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
    • Support GI and neurological needs including bottle, breast, and gavage feedings; placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes; and care for patients with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
    • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC; EPIC experience is required
    • Adhere to scheduling requirements including every other weekend coverage and working 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
    • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS
    • Minimum 1.5 years of experience; documented NICU Level III and PICU experience must be reflected in employment history
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
    • Ability and willingness to float to PICU, Pediatrics, Newborn Nursery, and Mother/Baby — floating is required without exception
    • Local candidates are welcome and accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a high-acuity Level III NICU caring for premature and critically ill newborns
    • Familiarity with pediatric critical care environments and pediatric subspecialty support
    • Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit setting across neonatal and pediatric care areas
