Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Shift options: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM – 11:30 AM (please indicate preferred shift when applying) | Every other weekend | Every other holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-house emergency nursing services to both full-term and premature infants in a Level II Nursery setting
- Deliver complex medical and surgical nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants
- Ensure competent, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care for patients and their families
- Perform thorough assessments and apply strong clinical and organizational skills to manage patient care safely and effectively
- Utilize charge capabilities and computer systems to support unit operations and documentation
- Perform mathematical computations required to carry out treatment protocols; assist with lifting, transferring, and moving patients as needed
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience required
- Current Massachusetts RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree
- Experience in a Level II Nursery environment
- Charge nurse experience
