Job Opportunity – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN – Texas

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: 13-week assignment with flexible self-scheduling; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period; block scheduling required; no on-call; patient ratios 1:2-4; may float between units as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Level III or Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred
• Current RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in advanced NICU skills including ventilator management, high-frequency ventilation, central line care, arterial line management, chest tube management, therapeutic hypothermia, and care of neonates as young as 29 weeks gestation
• Experience with administration of blood products, vasopressors, antibiotics/antivirals, and anti-seizure medications
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years
• Willingness to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
