# Job Opportunity – Level III/IV NICU Registered Nurse – Texas
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Self-scheduling with block scheduling required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; 12-hour shifts; No on-call required
Highlights:- 181-bed Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 43-bed NICU
- Patient ratios of 1:2-4 with an average daily census of 35 neonates
- Epic charting system; 12 hours of orientation provided

- PRN float to Pediatrics, PICU, and Pediatric ED as needed
Requirements:- Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
- Level III NICU experience strongly preferred (Level IV unit)
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Proficiency in advanced NICU skills including ventilator management, central line care, high-frequency ventilation, therapeutic hypothermia, UAC/UVC management, and care of surgical neonates
- Experience with patient populations including premature neonates (29+ weeks), respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, NEC, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and HIE
- Must be available to work 3 of 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
