Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), self-scheduling per unit needs. Weekend requirement includes 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period. Contract lengths range from 13 weeks up to February 27, 2027.

Highlights:

• Level 3/4 NICU with patient ratios of 1:2-4
• Comprehensive patient population including premature infants (as low as 22 weeks gestation), surgical infants, and complex medical cases
• Advanced procedures including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide therapy, UAC/UVC lines, ventilator management, and specialty care for trachs, ostomies, and GTTs
• State-of-the-art equipment including Servo Vents, HFOV, Alaris IV pumps, and Med Fusion systems
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of unit orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted; float to pediatrics/PICU/nursery for infants up to 12 months as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in a Level 3 or Level 4 NICU required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Ventilator management experience required
• North Carolina RN license or active Compact license
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must be available to work major holidays with limited time-off flexibility (maximum 7 days requested time off; no Christmas time off approved)
