TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Mother Baby RN in Aurora, Colorado, 80045!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day shifts, rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of specialty experience required License: RN License (state or compact) Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Antepartum trained to float to L&D with fetal monitoring experience Description: RN Mother Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum position available. Shifts will rotate throughout the week. Responsibilities include caring for postpartum patients who do not require ICU level of care. The patient population includes high-risk patients and newborns who do not need NICU level of care. Experience with 2000gm and above, late preterm infants, and substance-exposed newborns is needed. The role includes administration of magnesium drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips. Support for breastfeeding and parenting education is expected. Typical patient ratios range from 1:3 couplets, or up to 6 patients total. Charting will be done using an electronic medical record system. Interdisciplinary support includes services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. This position requires the ability to float within your scope to meet facility needs, including call and weekend coverage as required. Specific skills include the administration of blood products, managing postpartum complications, and newborn assessments. The work environment will include a supportive team with various resources available for optimal patient care.
