Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, IV certification Must-Have: IV start skills and labor & delivery experience, EPIC experience Description: Schedule may float to units with similar acuity. Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience required. BLS and IV certification necessary. IV start skills and labor & delivery experience preferred. EPIC experience is a requirement. Previous travel nursing experience is advantageous. Staffing model includes patient ratios of 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients) during nights and weekends. Interdisciplinary support from various teams is available, including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. This is a 40-bed inpatient postpartum unit that provides family-centered care to women and infants. Special procedures include telemetry interpretation required for RNs. RN will be expected to pass an ECG exam prior to start. The unit cares for postpartum patients, including those with vaginal and C-section deliveries. Healthy newborns and infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome are also part of the patient demographics. Candidates must have valid compact or state licenses before submission. Education must be from an accredited program. Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager or director. No coworker references are accepted. Former employees are eligible for travel assignments after a 6-month interval. Current employees are ineligible for traveler positions. All candidates are advised of the urgency of the fingerprinting process, especially those traveling from outside the state. Response to credentialing and compliance requirements is critical to secure the position.
