Position Overview
Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking an experienced MICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a night-shift travel assignment. The RN will provide care to critically ill medical ICU patients in a high-acuity hospital environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for
- Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact RN license must be active and in hand at submission
- BLS – AHA or American Red Cross accepted
- ACLS – Active and in hand
- NIHSS – Active and in hand
- All required certifications must be active; pending certifications are not accepted
- 1 professional reference required from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, or Director in the specialty
- Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
- Coworker references are not accepted
- Locals accepted at the same bill rate
Schedule & Facility Requirements
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts
- Traveler must work at least every other holiday
- All RTO must be disclosed at submission and discussed during the interview
- Travelers may only be submitted for one Cleveland Clinic Health System position at a time
- Standard Qualivis Cover Sheet must be completed
- PBDS assessment is waived
Orientation Assessments
During orientation, the traveler must complete:
- ECG Rhythm Recognition Test
- SafeMedicate Assessment
An acceptable score is required on both assessments. Travelers have a maximum of 2 attempts to pass; failure may result in cancellation.
Compliance Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
- Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
- Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement
- Background hits are reviewed by the facility
- No license hits accepted
- Candidates with an open background case are not accepted
- BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
Modules
- Pre-start and annual modules are required
- Average module time is 6–15 hours
- Up to 4 hours of modules are billable
- Additional pre-start module time is non-billable
- Modules are completed through Silkroad

✓ One qualifying management-level reference from the past 12 months

✓ Active certifications and copies available
✓ Agreement to Cleveland Clinic compliance and orientation requirements
