Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend | Holidays Required | Schedule may vary based on unit need
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a 35-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit
- Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices with a patient ratio of 1:6–7
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
- Provide care for Med Surg, remote telemetry, orthopedic, post-operative, CHF, and respiratory patients
- Administer medications using bedside scanning technology
- Float between Med Surg and Telemetry departments as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum 2 completed travel assignments required
- Recent experience with Cerner EMR
- Experience with Med Surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic, post-operative, CHF, or respiratory patient populations
- Comfort working in a high-volume department (approximately 810 patients monthly)
- Ability to adapt to a variable schedule based on unit needs
