Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a Med Surg and Remote Telemetry unit
- Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices for a patient population including Med Surg, Ortho, Post-op, CHF, and Respiratory patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
- Administer medications using bedside scanning in compliance with facility protocols
- Float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry departments as needed based on unit requirements
- Document patient care using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Georgia or compact state eligibility
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum 2 completed travel assignments required
- Recent hands-on experience with Cerner EMR charting
- Experience with Med Surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Orthopedic, Post-operative, CHF, or Respiratory patient populations
- Comfort working in high-volume units (monthly department volume approximately 810 patients)
- Ability to adapt to variable scheduling based on unit needs
