Sioux City, IA | Acute Care (Level 3 Trauma Center)
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Onsite | Expected 36–40 hours/week; overtime may be available after 40 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as a member of the interdisciplinary care team in the provision and management of patient care on a Medical Surgical unit
- Administer and monitor drips including Heparin, PCA, and epidural; chemotherapy administration if appropriately certified
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
- Provide high-acuity patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Center environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Medical Surgical and/or Oncology nursing experience
- Active Iowa RN license
- Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates also accepted)
- Active ACLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates also accepted)
- Active NIHSS certification (may be obtained during onboarding)
- Valid Driver's License required
- Med Surg-specific Skills Checklist required
- One Supervisory Reference Form completed within the last two years required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license address)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- High-acuity care experience
- Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are welcome to apply)
- Chemotherapy administration certification
