Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as a member of the interdisciplinary care team in the provision and management of patient care on a Medical Surgical unit.
- Administer and monitor medications and treatments, including heparin drips, in accordance with facility protocols.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR.
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
- Participate in charge or preceptor responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Active BLS certification required (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted).
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Med Surg-specific Skills Checklist required.
- One supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required.
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license address).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Heparin drip experience preferred.
