    Job Title

    Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Ortho/Neuro/Peds)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Ortho/Neuro/Peds unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
    • Care for post-operative orthopedic, spine surgical, and podiatry patients, delivering comprehensive post-op nursing care
    • Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
    • Document and manage patient records using the Meditech EMR system
    • Serve as a strong patient advocate while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team
    • Adhere to unit dress code: Navy Blue or White scrubs; no hoodies, pullovers, or T-shirts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting
    • BLS certification required
    • Strong communication skills; candidates without these will not be considered
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • PALS certification and ability to care for pediatric patients
    • Experience with post-operative orthopedic care
    • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
    • Team-oriented, positive attitude with a strong patient advocacy approach
