Contract | Nights | Onsite | Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties per unit needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on an adult medical/surgical unit serving patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral health conditions
- Adapt to a varied patient population in a dynamic and evolving care environment
- Participate in charge, on-call, and callback responsibilities as determined by unit needs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support both medical and psychiatric patient needs
- Contribute to the growth and development of a specialized, one-of-a-kind unit
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License (NY license only)
- Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an acute care medical/surgical setting
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a changing, growth-oriented environment
- Interest in pursuing dual-certification in medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing (eligible after experience requirement is met)
