Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Projected Start Date: 07/06/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive and compassionate care to patients on a 20-bed Medical Surgical / Neuro unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Prioritize and manage care for a diverse medical-surgical and neurological patient population
• Perform IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Conduct bedside shift reports and actively include patients and family members in the plan of care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to float per unit policy; contract labor is first to float by rotation
• Compliance with unit dress code: navy scrub tops and bottoms required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience on a Neuro Med/Surg unit
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience working in a Comprehensive Stroke Center or ACS Verified Trauma Center environment
