    Travel Registered Nurse – Orthopedic/Trauma Medical Surgical (Days)

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week, three weekend shifts per schedule period | Projected Start: September 14, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic/Trauma unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
    • Care for post-operative patients including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as trauma and neurological overflow patients
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including traction devices, fixators, and cooling equipment
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Conduct bedside shift reports and perform hourly rounding in accordance with patient experience standards
    • Float to other Medical Surgical level-of-care units (General Med Surg, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma) as needed per floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
    • Ability to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
    • Compliance with required dress code: navy scrubs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Telemetry (Tele) experience
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or familiarity
