Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF population
• Perform and manage clinical skills including remote tele monitoring, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foley catheters, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC (checkoff class required upon start)
• Float within skillset as first to float, including potential cross-campus float with a minimum 2-hour notice; mid-shift float within the same campus is also possible
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements: three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
• May be required to precept students and new hires, as this is a teaching facility

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Compact RN License
• AHA BLS Certification required
• NIHSS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of strong Medical-Surgical experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage change, work resiliently, and collaborate well with team members
• Experience with a broad Med-Surg skillset including tracheostomy care, PCA management, and blood product administration
