Registered Nurse – Neuro Med/Surg (4th Floor)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every 3rd weekend rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed neuro/med-surg acute care unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Perform dysphagia screenings and stroke assessments for general medicine and post-stroke patients
- Utilize BCMA for medication administration and document care using Cerner EMR
- Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
- Float to other units within the acute care division, including facilities within a 25-mile radius, as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- NIHSS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro/post-stroke acute care
- Proficiency with dysphagia screenings, stroke assessments, BCMA, and Cerner EMR
- Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills

- Experience with TR band management
