Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care on a surgical unit specializing in ENT, head and neck, and bariatric surgery patients
• Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies, including airway management and post-operative monitoring
• Support general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head and neck surgery patient populations
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS as required by unit protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care throughout the night shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated experience as a surgical RN with skills applicable to ENT, head and neck, or bariatric surgery settings

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and/or laryngectomies
• Background in ENT or head and neck surgical nursing
• Experience in a high-acuity surgical unit environment
