    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide primary care nursing on a 14-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Manage a diverse patient population including diabetic, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis, post-surgical, wound care, DVT, and ETOH cases
    • Administer and monitor medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
    • Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary staff to maintain patient safety and quality of care
    • Float to acute care, cardiology, or the emergency department as needed to support patient holds
    • Adhere to strict attendance policies and infection control standards, including nail policy compliance
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in good standing
    • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
    • BLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced, larger acute care facility (no Critical Access Hospital experience in lieu of this requirement)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification preferred
    • Experience with CPAP/BiPAP management
    • Familiarity with monitored patients and cardiac telemetry in a Medical Surgical setting
