Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 (up to 1:6)
- Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a separate telemetry monitoring unit
- Float as needed to all acute care areas, cardiology (for medical patients), and the emergency department for acute care patient holds
- Collaborate with CNA support staff and utilize nurse aides, including sitter assignments as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- NIHSS certification (American Heart Association required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR (training provided during orientation)
- Comfort with floating across acute care and cardiology settings
