Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6
• Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a dedicated telemetry unit
• Utilize CNA support staff and collaborate with nurse aides to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Float as needed to acute care, cardiology, and the emergency department for acute care patient holds
• Document and manage patient records using Meditech EMR
• Maintain compliance with all BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (AHA) certification requirements throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia
• BLS certification required – must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required – must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (as indicated on a valid driver's license) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but not required
• Prior Medical Surgical travel nursing experience
• Comfort with floating to multiple units including acute care and cardiology settings
