    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced 22-bed medical observation unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6
    • Manage a high-volume patient census including frequent admissions and discharges (up to 16 discharges per day)
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry strips on a heavy telemetry unit supported by central monitoring
    • Administer and manage heparin drips as the primary titratable infusion on the unit
    • Perform independent EKGs and draw own laboratory specimens
    • Float to medical surgical units as needed and occasionally assume charge nurse responsibilities with a patient assignment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience with at least 1 prior travel assignment
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NIHSS certification
    • Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced observation/medical surgical environment
    • Compliance with facility dress code: Caribbean Blue top and bottom, White top with Caribbean Blue bottom, or all white top and bottom
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification (highly recommended)
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
    • Background in medical observation or medical surgical nursing with exposure to high patient turnover
