# Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts (weekdays and weekends); 13-week contract with possible extension
Highlights:
- 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit with diverse patient diagnoses and complex care needs
- Patient ratio of 1:5-7 on night shift
- Cerner EMR system
- Daily census of 25-30 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Flexible scheduling; unit will work with travelers on schedule requests when possible
Requirements:
- Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (all certifications must be American Heart Association for BLS/ACLS)
- Cerner charting system experience required
- Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility location
- Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
- Strong attendance record and reliability essential
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
