Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts (weekdays and weekends); unit will accommodate schedule requests when possible but cannot guarantee blocked schedules

Highlights:

  • 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit managing a diverse patient population with complex care needs
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7
  • 26-week contract with possibility of extension
  • Cerner EMR system
  • Daily census of 25-30 patients across a wide range of medical-surgical diagnoses
  • Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state; pending license accepted for submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (must be AHA-certified)
  • Experience with Cerner charting system required
  • Permanent address located 100+ miles from the facility (candidates 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case)
  • Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
  • Travel experience not required
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
