PICC line management experience is necessary.
IV starts experience is required.
Management of dysrhythmias is essential.
Oxygen protocol management experience is required.
Non-invasive airway management experience required.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is necessary.
Experience with traumatic brain injuries is preferred.
Experience in ortho trauma, surgical drains, and chest tubes is required.
Experience with nasal cannula, oral suctioning, and tracheostomy management is essential.
Wound care experience is necessary.
Epic documentation experience is required.
Description:
The position involves providing care for patients with severe injuries to bones, joints, and soft tissue.
Nursing will include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Travelers must be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:5-6.
Position requires flexibility to float to similar units as needed.
Travelers will be assigned to work every other weekend.
The role may involve working during catastrophic events or disaster situations.
Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as IV, physical therapy, and respiratory services.
Patient diagnoses include traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, and neurological trauma.
Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of the position.
All RTO must be pre-approved, and no additional RTO is allowed after signing.
