Oncology experience is preferred but not required. Shifts available are 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekdays and every other weekend. Candidates must possess IV skills and be capable of starting IVs. Ratios for patient care range from 1:5 to 1:6. All required certifications must be included in the submittal packet. Attendance is closely monitored, and the facility allows only 2 to 3 call-offs per contract. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and potentially ONS chemotherapy certification. Census typically involves a variety of oncology cases and associated treatments. Interdisciplinary support includes teams in IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Skills required include managing ports, administering chemotherapy and blood products, and performing wound care. Candidates should be prepared to manage side effects and provide patient and family education. This position may involve care for patients with various cancers and related complications. Weekend coverage is required, with every other weekend shifts throughout the contract.
