TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Little Rock, Arkansas, 72205!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 48 hours guaranteed Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: Basic medical/surgical relevant and current experience Description: Interview directly with the manager for start dates. 48-hour guaranteed hours only. Float Pool between multiple surgical and medical units. Patient ratios are 1:6. Total care is provided with no patient care assistants. Telemetry is not performed; only occasional strip reading is required. The unit is transitioning to an electronic health record system in November. Experience in a large hospital setting is necessary. Common diagnoses and types of patients include surgical services such as colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, and orthopedic, as well as medical conditions like diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney, and gastrointestinal conditions. Charge nurses are present on each shift and take assignments. Nurse aides or patient care technicians are available, with variable ratios and duties. Respiratory support is readily available for troubleshooting equipment. No tele or monitor technicians are present; RNs do not read their own strips. Staff scheduling is assigned to meet needs; self-scheduling and block scheduling are not permitted. Staff is required to work every other weekend. No holiday requirements are present. There are no call or standby requirements. Floating is required to any medical/surgical pod. Scrub color is navy, and scrubs are not provided. Department-specific orientation consists of three shifts. The hospital can cancel shifts as per the cancellation policy. Charting is performed using a specific system. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not required. The trauma level is classified as 2. Care is provided in an acute setting.
