- Candidate must have at least 1 year of Med-Surg experience in a facility with over 450 beds.
Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Centralized Registry Float position.
This role will involve providing general medical and surgical nursing care.
Candidates should have experience with a diverse population of patients with varying diagnoses, including chronic illnesses such as COPD, diabetes, and heart failure.
The nurse will manage gastrointestinal issues, infections, and neurological conditions, as well as mental health disorders.
Patients may undergo various procedures, including colonoscopies and minor surgeries.
Key skills required include assessments, care planning, inter-professional communication, and utilization of electronic health records.
Nurses will use equipment such as IV pumps, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitoring.
Floating to other medical units will be required based on patient care needs.
The nurse will work 12-hour shifts, with three weekend shifts in a four-week period.
Patient-to-nurse ratios are between 1:5 to 1:6.
The dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs.
Candidates will participate in a hospital orientation followed by nursing orientation and Epic training.
