Job Title: RN Centralized Registry Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: IN license or compact required Certifications: BLS through AHA required Must-Have: Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience. Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in a large hospital with over 450 beds. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a centralized registry float position. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Candidates must be licensed as a registered nurse in Indiana or hold a compact license as of July 1, 2020. BLS certification from AHA is required. Candidates should have experience in general medical and surgical nursing care. The patient population may include individuals with chronic illnesses, infections, and neurological issues. Nurses will manage various procedures and have responsibility for assessments and care planning. Skills required include inter-professional communication and utilization of electronic health records. Nursing staff will float to areas in greatest need, working 12-hour shifts. Patient ratios are 1:5-6. Dress code requires Caribbean blue scrubs. Nurses will receive training and orientation specific to the unit. Notably, floating will only occur to other medical units. The cancellation policy allows for call-offs up to 24 hours during the assignment.
