Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical specialty. This position involves rotating shifts consisting of three 12-hour workdays, including weekdays and some weekends. Key responsibilities include starting and managing IVs and safely administering medications. You will monitor vital signs and patient responses, educating patients on treatments and self-care. Collaboration with the care team on patient plans is essential. Use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation is required. There will be a possibility of floating to lower acuity units as needed. All candidates must adhere to hospital policies and maintain patient safety. Candidates must possess strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills. Travel experience is advantageous. The unit includes adults and geriatric patients, focusing on various general medicine issues. Successful applicants will be able to handle a daily census and contribute to the interdisciplinary support team. Experience in special procedures such as IV management, chest tubes, and bedside procedures is beneficial. Candidates should be aware of the urgency regarding credentialing processes. Responsive and cooperative candidates will ensure a smooth onboarding experience. References from a manager or director are required for consideration.
