Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Adult Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current licensure as an RN in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement Certifications: Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months of hire Must-Have: Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills Description: The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates members of the patient care team. The focus is on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with state standards. The RN will develop the patient care plan in partnership with physicians and other patient care team members. This includes engaging with the patient and the patient's family when applicable. Demonstrates professional nursing practice skills of an RN utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients. Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patient, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The RN shall promote teamwork with medical staff and personnel throughout the facility. The RN shall adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
