Description:
The role involves caring for patients on a Medical-Surgical and Orthopedic unit.
The unit has a total of 22 beds with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.
Registered Nurses will be expected to work a schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
There will be a holiday rotation component as well.
The nursing staff includes a Charge Nurse available 24/7.
There are Certified Nursing Assistants available, with a typical ratio of 1:7-8.
The patient population includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, joint replacements, and fractures.
Registered Nurses on this unit need to have proficiency in Basic Life Support.
No titration of drips is required in this position.
Nurses will not be responsible for reading telemetry strips.
Floating to other units may be required.
The dress code for the unit is royal blue scrubs.
Charting will be completed using the EPIC system.
This position does not require a BSN degree.
